Hidden Words is an intense visual-scanning and pattern-recognition game that challenges the brain's ability to identify linguistic strings across multiple planes. The play logic focuses on "Linear Matrix Identification," where words are embedded horizontally, vertically, or diagonally within a high-entropy letter field. It works well for fans of word puzzles who enjoy the thrill of "finding the needle in the haystack" under strict time constraints.

You are presented with a dense matrix of letters and a target list of words. Your goal is to locate every word on the list before the timer reaches zero. To select a word, click the starting letter and drag to the end. Words can be spelled forward or backward. As you advance, the grid size increases and the words become longer, requiring you to manage your visual focus across a larger digital canvas.

Improving at the grid relies on "Uncommon Character Scanning." Instead of looking for a whole word, scan specifically for the least frequent letters (e.g., Q, X, Z, or J). Once located, check all eight adjacent directions for the second letter of your target word. A reliable tactic is to "Edge-Scan" first, as words tucked along the boundaries are often missed by casual players, and clearing them early opens up the visual space for the central clusters.
